I've got an odd problem with my '07 Murano that I haven't seen discussed on any forums. When I'm driving around 60-70mph, my transmission feels like it slips for a second. Engine revs, RPM spikes to around 2500, then immediately falls back down to where it was before (1800 or so). This usually happens when I apply a little bit of gas in order to maintain speed, but not so much when I push down the accelerator to gain speed. There's a little jerk when it happens, not a violent one but a nuisance for sure. While in cruise control, it's a very "un-smooth" ride. Never happens at lower speeds.

Close to 80k miles... Any suggestions?

Might be the transmission revolution sensor. Go to a AutoZone style parts place and see if you have a P0720 code. If so then that may be the issue. If you have not flushed the transmission before this may be a good time to have Nissan check it out and perform a flush.

Nissan dealer has had it in the shop for over 3 weeks, doing test drive after test drive, getting more and more data to send to the Nissan Engineers. Waiting on the response from the engineers now. It's pretty frustrating, but they can't seem to figure it out. At least they were able to replicate the problem...

I am awared of this is the old thread, but wondering if you able to find the solution for this yet? This seem to happened to me this weekend also. I was driving on the interstates about 60 mph, then the truck lips at the 4th gears. At speeds 1 to 50, and 60 to 80 are running fine. Spoke with the transmission tech, they think the belt inside the transmission's having issue. This is really weird.....it happened once every 6 months or so. Looking for to rebuilt mine.
