2007 Maxima Redesign

actually a twin turbocharged vq35 is exactly what I read was probably to be released in the new GTR when it comes out. I read that they were hoping for 2007 but I don't believe they will hit that. They've been using G35s as test mules so it was rumored that it would look similar to it, but I also read that that is probably not what it will look like. I'm not sure if it will be called a skyline (it would be a shame not to) but because of pricing it will be under the infiniti name.

...of course with the latest news about the 350z being redesigned I don't know if that will change the plans or speculations...

You know, just to back that up, I remember looking at a couple pictures of what the Skyline could look like- and it looked like the stepchild of a G35/350Z.

Same thing with the 2007 240SX, I wish they would get away from that design and let the 350's/G35's represent themselves instead of letting all the other cars play in on there name. I liked the old body styles myself.

That is exactly how I feel in a nutshell. Could not have said it better. I love the 350z BY ITSELF. I don't need to see clones of it everywhere (hello, mitsubishi??) I hate to see G35s with skyline badges too.

Its like in the 80's when ford decided to replace the mustang with a front engine front drive sporty hatch type car. There was a huge outcry and it was anarchy among the ford faithful. They wanted the car burned. So Ford listened, the fox body mustang lived on, and the Ford Probe was born, and sold millions and everyone lived happily ever after. At least thats what someone told me a few years back.

Bottom line, 350z, G35: beautiful cars, both on my list for next car. They are not skylines or 240s though.
