I have a few questions as far as manufactures go. I have been thinking of buying a cold air intake and exhaust for my max, and not sure which is better. I'm looking at the stillen cold air intake, and their exhaust, and also the greddy exhaust. I didn't know if one was any better than the other. I like the look of the greddy better but if the stillen performs better than that's the way I will go. Looks are not that important to me its all about hp numbers, so any help would be greatly appreciated. And thank you in advance.

You really can't go wrong with either manufacturer; both have a good reputation, as far as the products that they produce.

I personally have the Greddy SP2 exhaust for my 97, and I have absolutely no complaints what so ever. Mine has a nice low tone between 1500 and 3000 rpms, excellent sound at wide open throttle, and a mild tone at highway cruising speeds (3500 rpm+). Pretty much a perfect range for a 4 door sports sedan.

Thanks for the input, any thoughts on the cattman system, and I'm kinda torn between some mods, I have about 1700 bucks to spend. I'm not sure if I should do the suspention or the motor or a little of both. I found the eibach pro kit, and then went on one of our sponser sites and found a complete coil over kit, but thats half my buget.

Cattman is also well known for good products in the Maxima community.

The best thing that you can do to increase performance is to make the exngine breath better (both in and out). An intake, some headers, and a good cat back system will give you a lot more pep.

As for suspension, it's really a matter of what you're after. A slight drop with stiffer spring rates, or a full out custom drop to any height you want.

I would probably do the go-fast mods first, and then the suspension next. But, that's just me.

Thanks, I think that you are correct I'm going to do the perfomance mods first and then suspoention, and wait till summer for the suspention stuff. thanks again for you help and in put. I'll post pics when The exhaust goes on.

I went the opposite route. I went suspension first, "go fast" second. With suspension, you actually can go faster than with the go fast mods, other than straight line racing. New springs/struts/RSB...etc, let you drive the car to it's fullest whenever you are not going in a straight line. Most of the turns that I take, I was able to more than double my speed on after a suspension upgrade. Had I done the go fast mods, they wouldn't have helped around the corners. Really, it's up to you in what you are looking for. Good luck in your decision!

I think that instead of spending the $800 for the coil overs I'll get the eibach pro kit, that way I will be able to do both the suspention and the motor mods. for about $1700.

I've heard many good things about the Fujita intakes for the 6th gen...As for exhaust Cattaman is good plus they are in header development as we speak!!

I used to be on Eibachs but I went to coilovers to get rid of that nasty front gap once and for all. I did sacrifice ride obviously but it handles amazing (and looks good too)

fujita has an amazing product. IMO, Injen is the best for the intake. when it comes to exhaust, i like Magnaflow. lots of people dont. they do not have a 3.5 dual exhaust kit for the max's or altims, but they do have it for the 350z. ( http://www.magnaflow.com/04sou...h.htm ) i have a universal magnaflow muffler, 2.5 in pipe (cat to exhaust), jdm motors header (ebay) and injen intake. mine sounds pretty good. do the research and choose what fits you best. FYI i'm on my fourth muffler; i should have done my resaerch before i bought.

Oh yeah for got to mention I am running Magnaflows on my Max, they sound nice (just need to finish up the rest of the piping)

And actually Cattman uses Maganflows for the mufflers on their setup.

If you are talking about the pics in my sig then you are looking at the parking lights (LED) and the headlights stock HID. The fogs aren't on but they are Piaa H3 yellows.

Here's another more normal pic:
