Hmmmm. Just not sure about it. CVT only is simply WRONG! Only rated at 255hp again. Guess they are giving up on 4DSC and giving that up to the Altima.

I'm hoping this will turn out to be some sick joke...

Good job on the article, though.

Also, it's possible that the "drop" to 255 horses is only due to the new SAE system. But the trend in other cars was that torquey cars saw an increase in stated horsepower under the new system, so I'm not sure there...

I dunno. I was wondering what was going to happen to the Maxi when the Alti was receiving pretty much the same power. Now we know. Gonna turn into an old-man car.

Hell, I'm old so I guess I will have to buy one....

Looks like they just slid everything up a slot. The Altima gains some lux features and techno goodies, the Sentra grows to nearly as big as the Accord, and the Versa slots in where the Sentra was. Meanwhile the Maxima gets crapped on. The second oldest nameplate in the fleet. And they just shove it aside. Someone needs to get beat.

The Altima now also gets 265 horses.

Unfortunately, it's not too easy on the eyes. And the wheels are hideous.

GAH! I can't post pictures because of this incredibly irritating fad of flash-only websites which means no right-clicking and no snatching images from the code. I just LOVE waiting through a 15 second intro every single time I visit a site.

I'm not liking Nissan's new direction one bit. At least the pickups continue to impress...

Guess this just means I should be all the more proud to own my iconic J30. From before Nissan sold out.
