2007 Maxima high-beam sound

Hello all I am new to this forum. I joined just to ask one simple question really. Last summer I had a headlamp replaced in my 2007 Nissan Maxima SE and upon returning to my house and turning the ignition off, I tested out the high beams to see if they were working correctly. When I turn them on they make a sound similar to if you heard some one turn on a spot light in a movie. Does any one else have a 2007/2008 Maxima that does this? All of the previous vehicles I've had did not make any sort of a loud noise when switch to high beams.

The sound you are most likely hearing is the baffle inside the headlight assembly.

Headlight shutter valvesThe cars you had before...where they equipped with xenon projector lights?

And if you do not have xenon lights than it would seem to be like whomever installed your headlight might have installed one designed for a xenon equipped Maxima.
