2007 Maxima F.L Noise at low speeds/turns/braking

Hello all.

i own a 2007 max with about 20k on it.

for the past two months or so i started to notice a noise coming from the front drivers side. it is a grinding like sound but with a spring like kick to it.

i do NOT hear it everyday. i could hear it for a week straight and stop hearing it for a couple of days until it comes back.

i have replaced my rotors, my pads, shim plates and i bent back the backing plate since it was a little too close to the rotor.

but nothing still there.

the noise usually comes on when braking and it goes on until i come to a complete stop. it happens when braking from over 20mph.

i also hear it when making a moving right hand turn.

could this be an axle, transmission ?

i've replaced most of the moving parts except for those two. but at $600 i don't think i want to replace an axle

As you describe it, the the sound could be break or bearing related, but I'm also thinking it might be related to the CVT transmission. Have you had the car into the dealer, or discussed the sound with the dealer?

I'm not certain it's CVT related, as I don't have much personal experience with them, but as it's coming from the left side and judging by how you describe it, it's something I'd look into if it were me.

Ive got a similar problem happening - when turnung corners (specifically when cornering on the on-ramp to the toll rd) my SLIP light comes on and the car nosedives for the inner corner of the turn, alsmost as if I've slammed on the brakes. The nosedive is accompanied by a grinding sound.

Any thoughts?
