So, I think I will be trading off my I35 for a 2007 Maxima, 3.5 SL with CVT. It has 11,500 miles - I noticed that the factory warranty is 120k now for the CVT. I like the car, but would like everyone's opinions. How reliable is the '07 model? Anything I should be aware of? Anyone here own one? I really like the way it drives and it's a very comfortable car.

Reactions from members about CVT are mixed. But per Consumer Reports, engine and transmission are BETTER (top rating) as well as other systems, except Electrical System which has less than average rating

I just bought a 2007 Maxima SL with 70k miles for $12,400. After I've driven it a while, I'll let everyone know what I think. So far, though, I think I've gotten a pretty good deal.

Get it, I love my car, the sounds system is great, just gotta make sure the PSI on the tires is good, along with matching tires, other than that, the car is smooth, around 6.5 0-60 mph, but it shines around 40-90 mph when u just need it. Gas millage is pretty good, i get like around 19 city, and highway it says sometimes that i get even 33mpg! but i noticed as an average its 28 mpg. Other than that the CVT works like a charm for long drives and good accl to avoid stuff / pass if u need to, its just a little chain like feeling. The car is solid, the lights are good, and I have had no problems with my car at 46k so far. I would say go ahead!

P.S The bose sound system is just amazing good, and a lot of room in the trunk btw

1999 bose car speakers? Yea I would too. But for car speakers, personally it is fine, better than rockforge, jbl, power acu., kicker, boss, and some sony's. I do sound engineering and save the real stuff like DT 770 pros for real music lol. And yes I hate the bose sound too, the bass is clear though, which is very nice, but i hate that cheap silver sound it makes.
