Good morning all,

I can't tell you how much I've learned from this forum, so thank you in advance. Last year I picked up a 2007 M45 Sport with 42k on it. Last week I ordered the Brakemotive kit (specifically for an 07 M Sport) which arrived on Saturday, rushed to the garage, and lo a behold, the previous owner had done the Akebono caliper mod/swap. Yes, I should've noticed this....rookie mistake! So the stock Brakemotive kit is a no-go. Not knowing what G or 350/370 these were pulled from, would anyone know what parts I need to change the rotors and pads? The pads I think are easy, but is there a chance the rotors are still stock, or would they have most definitely needed to be changed for this mod to work?

Thanks!

You would need pads from g37 sport or nismo 370z.

You have ~14" rotors.. And they are not stock for m45..

You will be plenty happy with that brake setup! Awesome.. Very smooth.. Looks tons better too.

If it doesn't already have it.. Stoptech makes sport rotors that are drilled and slotted.. Or just slotted that are a great upgrade.. I went with posi - quiet pads.. Very minimal dust.. And good stopping power. I think they were ceramic rear and semi metallic front IIRC.

Take a pic and I can give u some more info.

Thanks, Kongz. So it's safe to say when researching replacement brake components, since someone already did the Akebono BBK upgrade on my car, I should be searching "2008 G37 Sport" in lieu of "2007 M45 Sport". I think I got it....thanks!
