2007 M45--is there indicator when headlights on?

As I set headlights to "auto-on" is there an indicator that they are on? For example, driving yesterday in somewhat rainy conditions and most drivers had lights on. I was wondering if there is an indicator light that would tell me that the auto feature had turned the lights on. (Don't have the manual handy and was wondering.)

I don't know about the newer M's... but I use the little light on my clock to judge when my headlights are on... It was almost accidental that I realized it... sometimes it's hard to tell when the other buttons are lit up, but on my 2003 I can always tell when that little light is on for the clock...

No indicator but unless you have the gage lights set all the way bright with the lights on you can tell when the lights are on. You could set the fog lights to be always on and then when the headlights come on you will see the green light indicating that the headlights are on.

ON THE 06 THERE IS A LITTLE LIGHT BETWEEN THE TWO BIG INTERIOR LIGHT NEAR THE SUN ROOF CONTROLS THAT GLOWS YELLOOW WHEN HEADLIGHTS ARE ON

I have the fog light switch on at all times so I use the fog light light to tell, that and I can tell by the colors used on the monitor...

On my 2003 M45, the tach and speedo illumination dims when the headlights are on. These are pretty darn bright (for normal daytime use) and they automatically go dimmer (when the headlights are on ... in the assumption that it is night) to avoid blinding you when it is dark out.

I have the LCD monitor screen set to dim the same way too ...
