I have only noticed this happen when I have used my remote start to startup the car, and only 1 out of 10 times maybe. It will start up and there is some whirring sound, then it shuts back off. Turn the car on again and it is fine. No codes.
Car has 100k miles, and I am wondering if the cam or crank sensors are starting to fail.
Is a sensor starting to fail, or is this from the remote start?

This is a toughy...not really sure if there are no codes being thrown. Do you know if there are pending codes being thrown (those won't light the CEL, etc.)?

So there are 2 CEL that were thrown a while back that I thought were unrelated. I am getting P0430 and P0455. These codes seem to occur only if I allow my fuel tank warning light to come on.

Also another kind of random one, sometimes when I would start my car it would read on the screen "Config failed: Disconnect CONSULT"... maybe 1 out of 10 times. I read somewhere to try resetting ecu by disconnecting battery for 10 minutes and since yesterday it has not occured.

I agree with Ilya, this is a tough one because you're getting two codes for two possibilities...

First, I'd try and put in some gas (91 octane) and tighten your gas cap...I remember getting the P0455 at one point, and I noticed the stock gas cap would not hold tight. I ended up just getting a replacement at Autozone and noticed the replacement cap locked really good. I cleared the code and it never happened again.

For the P0430 code, you might want to take your car to an exhaust shop or something so they can check your sensors to the Cats...it might just be loose or needs to be replaced....

Worse case scenario, you'll eventually need to replace one or both catalytic converters - I don't think you do, but try the small fixes first and hopefully the loose gas cap is triggering all of this madness..
