I am new to the forum. I am planning on doing my rear brakes on a 2007 M35X and I am wondering if they are any special ways to perform the brake job. I.E.- I just did a rear brake job on my 2001 I-30 and the brake cylinder had to be rotated clockwise to depress the cylinder. I couldn't find any threads on this forum dealing with a 2007 M35 rear brake job. Any help would be most appreciated.

If your doing a complete job I.E Rotors,Pads...Make sure to do a complete flush of all the lines front and rear...I have no idea but my 07 x has been a pain whenever I do a simple brake job...I always end up having to bleed front and rear and proper Infiniti manual says DR-PR-PF-DF For flushing procedure..I have always done PR-DR-PF-DF... Anyways good luck..

Do yourself a biog favor and go out and buy a complete set of caliper sliding pins. Two of mine were seized and were a tremendous pita to get out. They are very soft metal and do not like to be torqued upon.

when you bleed, you want to bleed the furthest side away from the brake fluid reservoir. so that would be passenger rear, driver rear, passenger front, driver front.

Thanks for the information. I am going to replace both pads and rotors with OEM parts. The suggestion of replacing the
caliper sliding pins is very good advice. I am hoping they will just slide right out. Thanks for the bleeding procedure.

I just ordered a set or zinc plated rear rotors and ceramic pads after the VDC, RAS, BRAKE, and SLIP lights all came on. I added a little bit of brake fluid to get rid of the lights until the parts come in. The front rotors were replaced with drilled/slotted rotors a couple weeks ago... any nissan/infiniti that I've owned eventually had warped rotors in the front. The rears seem to not be true either.

Good luck with your brake job, I look forward to getting this out of the way so that I can focus on more fun stuff to do to the M.
