Just bought a leftover 2007 M35. Really like the car after driving an Acura RL for 9 years. But what's up with the design of the oil dipstick. I've never found one more difficult to remove and replace. You can barely see the whole without a flashlight, and so many bends in the dipstick??? Also has anyone had success taming the road noise problem by replacing their Goodyear RSA tires? Thanks.

Welcome to NICO!

1. Hmmm ... the dipstick just needs careful handling to prevent it bending. Yes, it would be tough to read in the dark. My wife's Acura CL dipstick is not much different ...

2. Yes, the Goodyear RS-A tires are pretty useless. You are well advised to replace these as soon as possible.

Yeah, the M's dipstick really earns its name; dipstick. Just be careful to get it back in. I missed once, drove it and ended up like the Exxon Valdez.

The OEM Goodyear's? Between the noise and the tramlining it makes one wonder how Nissan fell for the damn things. I'm on ContiExtremeContacts and love'm.

Hey OBX, same here and I especially noticed the sharp corner edges.

Try this...take a piece of fine sandpaper and run it across its entire length trying to keep it on the corners then wipe it with a cloth. It seems to slide a little better.
