I have noticed that my passanger seat heater works differently than my older Infiniti's.

When heat switch is on high, the back of the seat warms. The bottom cushion does not.

It works the opposite when in the low postion.

Has anywho else seen this issue? Or is the way the manufactor has intended the use.

I also have an '07 G35x and have noticed the same thing with the passenger seat. Also - with my seats on high even, I can barely tell that they are on. What experiences with the seats has everyone else had? Is this a problem with my car - or are they all just pretty weak? Thanks!

Yup, I have this issue with my 2007 G35x. Seems other folks are having this issue as well. Someone reported that the wiring into the heated seats may not be correct. However, I haven't seen a technical bulleting from Infiniti on this issue yet. Might just be a matter of time.

The lack of heat from the seats was the first thing I noticed when I picked up my new G last week. I have no heat on High and just a little on Low.

Anybody talked to a dealer yet?

My coupe's heated seats warm both the top and bottom on low or high.Very toasty I might add.

i have the exact same car and my passengers have noticed it but i believe the bottom of the seat warms at the same time, but only at the rear part of it where most of the contact is mad.

Got my first G35x last Friday, heated seats seem to work...but slowly. How long should it take before they reach the required temperature?

Not sure if this applies, but Infiniti was notorious for using a certain type of relay in the past that would limit how long the seat cushion can be heated when left on in the "high" setting. My old J30 had this, and perhaps they have carried it on through the years. Not sure why they did this, but the seat would get hot, then seemingly cold after a bit, and maybe 1/2 hour later hot again. It's very strange, but try leaving the seat heater on high for a while and see if the lower seat cushion warms.

I took mine to the dealer last week. They were able to reproduce the passenger side problem since its not as subjective as the weak driver's seat. They tested out a few other in stock cars and they all had the issue.

The dealer put in a call to Infiniti tech and was told that they are aware of the issue. They are working on a fix and are planning on putting out a service bulletin. They told the dealer not to do anything until they put out the bulletin.

Unfortunately - no time estimate on that. The dealer said sometimes it's a couple weeks, other times, it's a couple months. So - on the bright side - maybe our heated seats will be fixed for July. ;-)

BTW - If you're curious, this is from Infiniti of Norwood, in Massachusetts. They were very helpful and will try and keep me posted.

If any of you have different experiences, please post it in this thread. Thanks! Jeff

Same problem with my 07 G35 Journey. I took it to the shop and they replaced the switch with no improvement. I'm afraid they will want to disessemble the seat to replace the heater coil. The new switch made no improvement. On High the passenger seat heats the back very well but the cushion is cold. On low the seat cushion is warm, no heat on the back. Driver seat works fine.

If anyone find a solution I'd be curious. My wife likes heated seats!
