Hi everyone. This is my first post on this forum. I just bought some 2007 g35 sedan 17x7.5 wheels to put on my 2005 nissan altima. I know plenty of people who have put infiniti wheels on nissans without any issues. So I went to have these wheels put on and the guy says they are not sitting flush on the hub or something along those lines. He says they would need a spacer. Does anyone know of anything that changed on the 07 g35 as opposed to earlier years that would not allow these wheels to fit on my altima? The offset of these are +45 which should be okay. Any responses are appreciated. Thanks.

Doesn't make sense to me either.... Those should bolt up fine.

Ask him what the wheel is hitting, we'll be here all day.

Thanks for the reply. I went out to look at the thing and as the wheel sits on the hub without any lug nuts or anything it wobbles back and forth. He said it should be sitting without any wobbling. Forgive me as I don't know much about wheels.

If you don't torque the lugnuts in the correct (star pattern) sequence to OEM specifications, you won't be able to tell much about fitment.

Be sure they are not hitting the suspension nor the brake calipers.

I'm still searching for an answer on this one, bear with me.

So far, I can't find any reason why they should be "wobbling", as the hub bore is the same, the bolt pattern is the asme, and as far as I can tell, the offset is the same.

Thanks so much for the help. As far as I know there's no issues with clearance. Maybe the place I went to doesn't know what they're doing. Yeah, the hub bore, offset, bolt pattern, etc are all the same. If I can explain this better - they put the wheel on and what they say is instead of the wheel just sitting there you can tilt the wheel up and down - if that makes any sense.

Welcome to NICO!

I'll see what I can find as well as this seems really odd??

Although the Bossman is a pretty damn resourceful guy!

IIRC there were some "nubs" on the backside of the G35 coupe wheels to help prevent people from putting the fronts on the rears, etc. When looking at the back side fot he hub, do you see anything that would prevent flush contact with the hub? Or maybe it's on the hub itself??

Or possible is it hitting against the brake caliper?

Well I talked to a another wheel/tire shop and they said sometimes there's a groove in the wheels in which the hub must sit and the altima groove is sometimes different from the infiniti groove thus not allowing the wheel to sit flush on the hub. So I'm guessing that's my problem. Anyway it looks like it's not going to work and I'll be selling these wheels. Thanks so much for everyone's help.

If anyone wants to purchase these wheels let me know. Otherwise I'll be putting them on ebay.
