I just purchased a Microsoft Zune Player, which is an MP3 player with video. Since the new G35 has RCA plugs in the armrest and I learned it can play video via a DVD player or Camcorder I realized I could display my Zune players screen on my car dash monitor in the AUX mode. The hitch is the parking brake must be engaged to view any video. I understand why, you don't want people driving around watching movies.

I'd like to wire my Zune player to my car and never have to fiddle with taking it in and out. It would be nice to see the album cover displayed on the screen along with other zune prompts and selection. Then I could simply mount a remote and I'm set. Has anyone figured out how to get around the parking brake issue?

If you have a rear backup camera it has to be overridden so I'm 100% it can be done. You can't exactly backup with your parking brake engaged.

Any help is great.

There are about a million threads on here dealing with how to override the parking brake issue so that you can watch DVD's on the nav screen.

Do a search and you should find them. I would be willing to bet that in theory your Zune issue would work in the same way.

Good luck.

I'm new out here and you are right I saw another post right after I posted it. I'll look around. I drove what I believe was a 2006 g35X (dealer loaner car) the other day and it did not have a monitor so I assumed this was a 2007 question which may not have been asked. Thanks..
