How tough is it to DIY a cabin air filter. My DIY nature and wallet have a hard time with paying the dealer 85.00 plus the filter. If it's a total PITA, or special tools are needed, thats a different story. Anybody done it?

It shouldnt be that hard to change out. I just did one on my car and it was pretty simple. Plus the filter is only like 15$

can you offer a quick "how to". I think it's near the glove box area but I'm not sure what needs to be removed for access to the filter.

Thx

There is one DIY on youtube. I believe. Also I think the FX filter fits in the 07+G and it does a better job.

lol...ok... I just did mine a few weeks ago...It's really easy. Just have to remove a few panels. It's behind the glovebox.

the other thing is that I just took the filter out and vacuumed it... lolit's fine. up to you tho

Saw the youyube thing. Seems easy enough. I give it a try. Hopefully mine is the same set up as the one on youtube since that one was an earlier model. If these filters are HEPA filters I'd rather put a new one in vs vacume the old one.

Thanks
