Pretty cool.

Any idea if the new coupe will debut in '07 or '08?

Kind of looks like a M35, but I don't like the buldge in the tail light. Other than that VERY NICE!

really? i kinda like the lil buldge.. its adds just a bit to the detail. the front end does look like the m45 a bit. i'm not really feeling the thin spokes on the alloys though, but it still gets 2 thumbs up. regardless... still unaffordable to me

Back of it looks like a Buick Lacrosse, though thats not necessarily a bad thing.

I really like the redesigned center console. Sharp car, can't wait to see the new coupe...or the rumored convertible.

The bulge in the taillights are for cutting down on wind turbulence. I saw a documentary of the new M6 where the engineers had to do this after seeing turbulence in the taillight area. This was done with a smoke test in a wind tunnel.

What's with the face and plate blackouts of the first big photo? And then you can see the guy's face in one of the lower pics.

Not sure I like the redesigned rear end seems too bland or rounded or something ..to me anyway. The buldge on the taillights is borderline cool..lol...but I think I like mine better As far as the center console there's parts of it I like and parts of it I don't. I like the fact the clock is no longer hidden when the screen is up, on the other hand there appears to be no option of hiding the DVD navigation system should you so choose ...might be just me but seems like there's times and places people would want that hidden for possible break in reasons . Also seems to me the joystick for the DVD navigation would take longer to use by a slight amount over the older more actual joystick style. Just my opinion though

I'm interested to see how they'll decide on changing the coupe...

in terms of the coupe... when folks state it is going to be an '08, do they mean released in spring/summer of '07 as a model year, or not until Fall of '07? I am not sure I can wait more than a year as I am currently shopping and very interested in the new coupe. what do you think about timing?

great update to the G35 sedan. It seems they got that interior from the M, and I personally like it. plus dual exhaust is always nice. The rear looks kind of GMish though, but other than that I like it. Even my wife likes it.

I like it a lot, both the interior and exterior layouts. I really like the gauges too!

So is this still the V35 chassis? Simply an aesthetic redesign?

I absolutely friggin' love the Fuga lights. And the new tail lights are a HUGE improvement over the old sedan tails. I hope the coupe tail lights don't change much, though: they're probably the most identifiable of any car on the road--day or night.

Edit:

The solid red tail lights are AWESOME. I'm so incredibly sick and tired of chrome and clear in tail lights. Plain, clean, attractive solid red is a very welcome change (Not from the previous style--which was also mercifully clean and devoid of unneccesary clear or chrome--but from recent/current design trends in general).

so what are the horsepower numbers going to be? They need to get that up over 300 for sure in both auto as well as the manual. I'd like to see 315 at least, the next M I have to think will need to kick to 350 at least once Lexus comes out with the LS with 380

Looks totally badass! I love the updated front end. The rear looks more like the current coupe with is a good thing.

Hmm, my Mom is in the market for a new car. Wonder what she thinks of the new G?

I was under the impression that you couldn't get Rosewood trim in the sport model, only aluminum. And, I belive this must be the sport model, because you can't get paddles in the "Journey" or AWD model. What 's the deal?

Saw one in the local dealership earlier this week. Sport model had the shift paddles. HP is 306 according to the sales-guy. Don't like the non-chromed door handles...my only complaint. Well, that and the fact the dealership wouldn't allow a test drive...yet!

I never even noticed that it didn't have the chrome door handles, OMG, that sucks. Should be a small price to upgrade that though.

i don't see why the guy didn't let you have a test drive. we talked to the salesperson for 3 minutes and he ordered one of his cronies to bring out the g35s i was going to buy so i could take it out.

also, chrome door handles are tacky. you don't see any bmw m3's with chrome door handles. you might see something like that on a chrysler 300, but they can keep that ish.

That was in October '06. Probably why they were not allowing random test drives.
