Guys,

Look at this link:http://www.wikihow.com/Overrid...-Lock

This link tells you how to override the Navigation on Lexus.

Now i know that Infiniti can't be more complicated that Lexus. There has to be a way to do it, without cutting the wires and voiding the warranty. This soft hack, has to be somewhere. I mean dealerships know about it, im sure they use it when you bring in the car for service.

Anybody have any clues as to how to get, and what is it?

Thank you

I have a 2005 sequoia with stock navigation and this override does work...only you have to go through the steps each time you start up the car. You or passenger can do it parked or while moving. Once activated ALL functions work...except the Rear Seat Entertainment DVD but there is a trick to get that working on the front nav while moving as well.

You don't know how many times I have tried this on the 2007 G35 navigation on all different screens in all different places. Im not sure there is a way to get to a service menu either by screen taps on "ghost buttons" or a combination of hard buttons in a certain sequence. I just haven't found it. But I don't give up...Or the dealer has to hook up an external controller somewhere to gain access to service menus.

I tried the above on my 2007 G to no avail...but it said keep pushing until the service menu appears...i think i only tried it a couple times...i'll try again...

Yeah, i tried it myself last night. Apperently when you go to the Inforamtion screen, there is NO option for DISPLAY menu. But i tried different steps, and i must have clicked like 100 times and nothing happened. There has to be a way, i refused to believe it otherwise. I guess ill keep trying and searching.

SOW/NAV. Accessed by pressing Setting button and turning radio volume 40 clicks either way. Radio must be off.

From that post:

"SOW/NAV. Accessed by pressing Setting button and turning radio volume 40 clicks either way. Radio must be off."

Does this not work?

Now the question is, what are the settings to disable the limitations on the nav system when in motion, and, once done, do they "stick" across engine restarts/system reboots.

(okay, I admit it, I'm an IT guy. That's why I think of this as "rebooting your computer". )

I found the Diagnostic menu but didn't find a way to override the system. I didn't delve into each menu very deeply but didn't see anything that stood out.

On my sequoia with the Denso stock nav. there was a system diag menu and a separate settings menu both with quite distinct and differing ways to access them through "ghost buttons"

The quest continues....

I did the same thing, except I went through each of the options there, and still didnt find anything that would let me override the Nav.Im getting really pissed about this situation at this point.

Hopefully, something soon will come up

Why Not?

Why have these options if you cant use it while driving?Pulling over on a high way is more dangerous, than looking at the NAV screen. Besides, a lot of times you have a passanger that can do this for you.

alright heres the hack a guy at the stereo shop told me.

make sure the car is off first.then the ignition to "ON".Once the navi turns on, click ok, then goto "INFO".Once in the info screen, with the joystick hit" Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right and Then push the joystick to confirm.

Then, turn the car one, make sure ur on neutral.

Rev the car to 3k stedily, at the same time, go back to the naviscreen, and you should see "set navi override on/off. Theres also a setting that will disable the navi once the car reaches certain speed. the Dealer sets this at 5mph... You can change it to zero... or just set the safety feature to "OFF"..

Click "OFF". A warning screen will pop up... Click "OK".

Now it will ask you if you want this feature to be off for just the ride or infinit... Click "infinit".

Usually a G's speed limiter is set at 156 MPH , im unsure why yours would be lower than a 2005 G35's

Right. I'm sure that our $35k+ cars use the same code to override the nav limits as all Konami video games. The 3k rev was a nice touch though--if someone other than VA had posted this, I'd probably be in the driveway now hammering on the joystick.

So I just got my wife a 2008 G35 Sedan Sport yesterday with the Navigation. I tried the following hack several times, but no luck. Can anyone tell me if they have gotten this to work?
