There are a few things I can say about this. The M45 will become the 400hp M50 soon, and that may be a reason for its low price. Then there is the price of gas taking a 30 cent hike over the last few months, but if you drive a premium car, chances are you dont care about fuel costs, otherwise you'd be riding the bus or a taxi or a prius or a little tykes trikie. Then theres the fact that the 4.5 V8 isnt as bulletproof as the V6. The V6 can be abused and it will hold up to everything, but the V8 is more meticulous. If it is cared for like it should be, then its just as bulletproof, as evidenced by the motors 18 year old design and 300,000 mile examples still on the road. I've just noticed that a larger portion of V8 motors fall apart under abuse than the V6 motors. I would definitely LOVE an M45. But Only if the previous owner had a good service record. In that case you'll be fine. Believe it or not, The sport models are very agile and fun to drive cars, just as sporty to me as the G. They are a full size car, but I think its a perfect car for my taste as far as size. I hope to have either a 2009 M45 sport or a 2009 G37 sport in the future.
