Hi,

I am doing this for a friend who has a G35X. Twice now, all four windows have completely opened when the car is off and unattended. I assume that it is happeneing in the first 30 to 45 seconds when the power to the window motors is still present , but I have no verification as of yet. Note, there is no actual switch present on the arm console to control all windows simultaneously, but obviously there is probably a control signal in the electronics which can permit it. Are we thinking an abraided wire in one of the harnesses or perhaps some control module gone awry?

I tried to "provoke" it into happening, but you already know how that went. One weak clue, the weather was humid, but not hot on both days and it happened in the morning on both occasions also.

Has anyone seen or heard about this particular thing?

Thanks!

Try this: after they all roll down roll them up and hold the switch in the up position for 5 secs, do that on all of them and it should work. Let me know

Hi and thanks for the reply.

The problem is HIGHLY intermittent. In fact, it has only happened twice. I will make the recommendation, however. One question, even if the problem has NOT occurred, would it do any good to do the "hold the switch up" routine anyway?

It's possible it could be a problem with your key fob.

If your car is off and locked (alarm on) when you go to unlock it with the fob...hold the unlock button for a few seconds and see what happens.

Good luck

this happened to me too. But after I read in the manual that you can hold down the unlock key and they roll down. I had the key in my front pocket at work. Hasn't happened since.

OK, thanks to all 3 of you nice folks. As this is a friend's car, I will have to now hook up and look into each of your recommendations.

I sincerely appreciate your input and time. Thanks again!

Still wondering but now more informed in Woodstock.

This feature is only to sell the car. I would like to disable it. 3 times the alarm started because I was working with keys in my pockets and button was "squeezed". Now if windows opens in a rainy day...

(sorry if english is not correct this time)

I just wish the windows were easier to control via the fob and that Infiniti included rolling up in addition to rollind down (Yeah, I know I can buy the aftermarket module).

The dealer can disable the feature. I don't recall seeing the menu for it in the 04 Coupe I had, but my Titan's Navigation menu includes changing many of the keyfob settings in it. I would think both would, but I didn't notice it when I had the G. If you have navigation, it might be worth looking into...
