This afternoon the electric drivers seat in my 07 FX35 stopped going forward or backwards. It will move in every other direction and will recline. Any thoughts or input would be appreciated.

Does the seat click at all when you try and move it forward, or does it try and move one side but not the other? There could be a piece of foreign material stuck in the track, or there is a gear that commonly fails on these cars (on the FX and G).

There is a place that sells replacement gears if that's what the issue is (could be, it's common).

It just clicks. Neither side moves. I have an extended warranty so it will cost me $200 to get it fixed worst case scenario. Thanks for your help.

The seat lasted a few more weeks then died. Got the new gear from Odometergears and switched it out in about 30 minutes. I couldn't believe there's a video on youtube where they take the whole seat out to replace the gear. Thanks for the help.
