2007 Flashing Air Bag light

I have a 2007 Versa hatchback. The Airbag light turns on while starting like normal then flashes while running. The manual says to take it into the dealership. Is there anything I can do about that instead? Or will the dealership charge me to look at it? I have 105K on it and no more warranty.

probably problem in the spiral cable under your steering wheel, i had the same problem with my car. do you also have problem with horn? whereupon it started flashes?

My 2009 is having the same issue, haven't figured it out as of yet. No horn problems but I am also having wiper relay issues, is there something that could be triggering both?

I have airbag light flashing in my 2007 Versa for 4 years now, everything else works and car passes New York state inspection. Disconnecting the battery won't repair it, taking to dealer is time consuming and expensive, so I did a quick fix just covered blinking light with black tape.

I can't see how any state would pass inspection with it flashing indicating a problem. Get a decent code scanner that does the airbag system for $100-$200 or about what they will charge for a diagnostic.

I have the same problem, also with the horns, I change the whole mid steering wheel costing me 250USD with no luck, i still have the same problem not horns and Blinking Airbag. I fixed the horns with a .2 USD button assigned near the side mirror control...
