That sounds correct on the '07 and older, but I am not 100% certain. Did you look at the FSM? Here is the link:alcatoe wrote:I have been doing some research on the topic of Nav bypass how to and after researching the wire diagram from http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/ar...v.pdf, I am under the impression the 2007 model does not have the "ebrake" wire as described in zer...age=2.
Can anyone please confirm this? I think all I need to do is cut the "vehicle speed signal" cable.
Thanks!
Timmbo, yeah, I checked out the FSM and that is what lead me to think it only has the VSS. I took apart the dash and center consol today to check things out and I tracked down the VSS under the passenger seat at the NAV unit. It is the right plug, 4th wire (white w/ red stripe) from the right on top (if you are looking at the plug while it is plugged in).Timmbo wrote:

On the models older than an '08, you need to purchase a switch unit like the one from TV and Nav 2 Go. This allows you to connect regular Audio/Video cables to the back of your Navigation drive underneath the passenger seat. From what I understand, they now have a plug & play model, although I am not sure I would go that route. I know with the '04 QX56 that I used to own, I made the connection right under the passenger seat, and that is where I mounted the unit. I then had to use an audio video cable to run from the center console to the unit underneath the seat.WaynesNside wrote:I did the switch for the navi bypass under the seat but would like to have the front monitor play DVD like the newer models. I can't see why it wouldn't work if you can send a signal to the screen some how.
I'll check back to see what you find.
