my 2007 altima with cvt was driven in mt at 60 mph for 20 min wife had topullover said lots of white smoke was coming from underside of car.had like a rubbery smell to it. i went to get car and seemed to drive fine.now there is a ticking/slapping sound coming from car when in deceleration espeially under 20 mph.when in park the engine seems fine.any thoughts?

Check the oil and coolant levels, as well as the CVT fluid level (see page MA-28 for details).
