has anyone done anything to their three dash speakers that come with the premium package to make them not rattle? or replaced the speakers completely?I'm really not sure why nissan put speakers there. not the greatest place for mids.

you wouldn't really consider the 3.5" speakers mids... the mids are in the doors. The 3.5" were designed to be tweeters! The Bose amp sends mainly high frequencies there.

I haven't yet replaced them... but i will be very soon with my upcoming stereo installation. I'm puuting the tweeters from the Boston Acousti Pro 60 components there. I know, the highs will be crazy reflecting off of the windshield, but I'm gonna set the corssover a bit lower than normal with these.

im going to put 2 pairs of alpine components in the 4 doors. Is it worth it to change the 6"9's on the rear deck?i hear that it isn't worth it since i have a sub in the trunk. Whats your take?

The components are perfect without the 6x9's. Round woofers are more accurate and produce less sound distortion that odd shaped woofers, like 6x9's. so by an audiophile standpoint it's actually better to remove the 6x9's anyway. however the difference is really only noticed above 40 watts rms when the true characteristics of speakers come out. Long story short, you're better off without em!
