If I'm reading everything correctly, the front dash and front door speakers on my 2.5s are all 2 ohm speakers? Does anybody know of any 3 1/2" speakers that are 2 ohm that will fit into the dash? Crutchfield lists only one set for my car and they are Bostons, but they are 4 ohm speakers. If I replace the dash and door speakers, but keep the factory HU (to be changed later), do I need to stick with 2 ohm speakers? I've already searched and googled, any help is appreciated. I was looking at these 3 1/2", Infinity Kappa 32.7cf, does anybody know if they would fit without too much "hammering"?

The higher impedance 4 ohm speaker will give you slightly less output than the 2 ohm at the same volume setting. So any speaker in the car that is a 4 ohm will be slightly quieter than the speakers that are 2 ohm. If you replace all of them then they would have even output. If you just replace the fronts then you could at least balance it out with the fader if needed.

I stock Boston speakers if you need some.

Broadfield,So am I correct that the front door and dash speakers are 2 ohm? Also, since you sell audio equipment, can you tell me what speakers would be a drop in replacement for the dash speakers? (I plan on upgrading all of the speakers and the h/u over time.) My vehicle is a 2.5S with the base radio.
