I've got less than 500 miles on my new Altima and noticed it was leaving a few oil drips on my driveway. I put it up on ramps this morning and removed the passenger side plastic inner access panel to the oil filter. I don't have a repair manual to get the parts names exactly right but it appears I have a leaky camshaft cover on the firewall cylinder bank. I know it's under warranty but was curious---is this a common leak on the 3.5 motor? Will the technician be able to fix w/o removing the motor?

Thanks in advance for your comments. I just joined NICOclub today. I traded in my 2002 Avalanche for the Altima. I was a member of the Avalanche fan club for many years and it was a great place to get vehicle specific information.

Sorry folks--not sure how I ended up on the Infinity side. Anyway I can transfer this to the general topics or do I need to just kill it and start over?

I moved this to NOM.....

Yes, the mechanic should be able to repair the problem without removing the motor. Just take it in and have it repaired under your B-B warranty.
