Attention all 2007-2008 Spec V owners. It is our time to finally receive the fruits of the aftermarket car industry. Too long has our last generation model received the love we deserve. With various aftermarket components that are almost too extensive to list. Even our beloved Nismo has turned its back on us, leaving us with nothing more the a few companies to release very few parts for our platform.

The 2002-2006 models have received various coilover and spring applications from different companies. Even more so are the amount of intakes, exhausts, headers, camshafts and other goodies for their cars. Jealously we have awaited for such parts. As a matter of fact I have now called to date almost 35 companies about various parts, testing, and even to just spark interest in our platform. Taking extensive amounts of time out of my day to help this platform grow out of a “cult-like status” and into a mainstream icon like our rival, the Civic Si.

After attending various car shows, hundreds of emails and phone calls, I have finally landed us a shot at a turbo kit, a fully bolt on ready to go turbo kit. Not just some ebay knock off, or some no named company. Turbonetics has decided to take interest in our cars as they did the same for our 2002-2006 models.

After extensive and very much enjoyable correspondence with Reggie Wynn, he has agreed that with enough interest we will have a turbo kit for our cars.

Here are the specifications of the 2004-2005, since we share a similar motor expect a similar type kit.

Quote »The cult car of a new generation. The Spec-V is the epitome of a sleeper car, but just wait until you bolt-on this turbo kit. Everyone will know you are turbocharged because with the power you will make it will be hard to keep the tires connected to the pavement. Rated for 300 HP, we have seen huge power increases with aftermarket performance upgrades such as exhaust systems. As much as 50 more HP! Unichip plug’n play engine management allows you to bolt-on this kit on and get right into boost. No catalytic converter included with this system.

Copy your post body from that site into your first post (the coding for quotes and such should be the same, so there won't be translation issues). That way the information is all here and our members can ask questions as well, then you can inform Turbonetics of what sort of questions/interest you get from here, too.

FYI, don't listen to the guys talking about an atmospheric BOV. Recirculation allows for better boost response and avoids the lift-throttle tuning problems associated with MAF-metered air suddenly being purged from the system. Open BOV's are for people more concerned with making sure everyone knows they have a turbo than actually using it.

Sounds bad***! Keep us updated.

Iunno we might not beable to run that much boost on the Spec-V. Correct me if I am wrong 10.1 compression ratio right? then we'll have to down it to a possible 5 or 7 psi but should see around 275-300hp with 94 octane.

Most of it would fit since they're based on the same chassis and engine. Pipe routing could be an issue. Your best bet is to contact Turbonetics and find out.

So, first posting and worse off I'm rather Necro posting on this, but I bought a 2007 SE-R Spec V brand new off the truck as a birthday present to myself...nearly 4 years ago now! but at 175hp it just feels so lacking against those damn Si's pumping 197, not only that but a guy i work with in the automotive field jacked his Si to 300 last year! Looked around all over the place and I never could find much to power up my car, only with further irritation that any upgrades I could find were meant for the damn 2 liter!
My old man just bought a Juke last weekend, and he's doing some stuff to it to give it a 50HP tune up and that thing is a 1.6 liter! Granted, turbo, but still! What the heck gives with that?!

So i found this post tonight, and course we're talkin 3 years ago now, but when i went to Turbonetics, there wasn't anything I could find...so what's the deal? Anything ever come about it?

The kit is out and you can buy it. There are several that have it(not sure if anyone on here does).

And if you have a Spec then you have 200hp and 180tq. You have the high compression qr(the only car that has it that i know of).
