Hi'

I just recently purchased the 2007 Altima 2.5 SL. After 3 days, I heard a weird electrical noise upon a cold startup. The engine would rev high (Normal) for a cold start. However, at the peek of the high rev, It makes a noise similar to what you would hear if your starter went bad and the car won't start and you just hear clicks. Or, it sounds like an electrical sound that just doesn't sound like it belongs there. The car always starts, so i don't think it's the starter. I was just using the starter sound as an example. Anyway, Nissan says it's a normal sound. If it is a normal sound, wouldn't it make sense that it would do it from the beginning of my purchaseinstead of the sound manifesting after 3 days of purchase?

The sound also reminds me of what you might hear upon startup with a car that has been poorly maintained and has alot of miles on it. This car however is brand new and had 15 miles on it when I purchased it. As of now, it has around 230 miles on it.

Anyone have any similar issues, or know what this is?

Thanks

Welcome to NICO!

It sounds like what you're talking about is the electronic motor mount. We have had several people bring their cars back into the dealership wondering what the sound was. If that's what it is....its normal operation, if you hear it, its working
