Is the voice command system standard in all 2006 models? Available in 2006 at all? or is it an option?

I don't think it was available on 2006 models. I think 2008 was the first year they had it as it is part of the revamped NAV/Electronics Tech package. IMO it doesn't work very well and it is very limited. I only use it for phone dialing.

my 2006 does have the voice command. I think, but don't hold me to it, it is part of the advanced tech package. It works pretty well for me.

I've got the Premium Pkg-obviously a part thereof; works fine.

For 2006 voice command was part of the Technology Package.

There was also the Advanced Tech Package, which included the Tech Package, and the upgraded Bose system, Intelligent Cruise etc.

The Premium Package included both the Technology and Advanced Technology packages.

I have an 06 M35 (purchased 10/05), completely standard (no additional packages, no NAVI, etc.) and it has voice command.cw

If I recall correctly, you have the 06M35X (same colour as mine!).

Mine has the voice command, and it does not have the Nav, although it does have the DVD package.

The voice command works ok, but when trying to dial a number it always confuses my threes with eights. Maybe its just my accent, (but I don't have one;))

I wonder if anyone else has this problem? Is there TSB or someway to re-train the software?

Anyways, you are better off using the hot list for dialing numbers.

The M35/M45 has had the voice command for bluetooth phone control for a while, I'm just surprised to find out that it also has had Voice Command for A/C, Audio and NAV since 2003 apparently....

And YES! it is a pain to use the voice command to dial numbers... I spent an afternoon putting everyone I call frequently into the Phone Book so I can avoid it as much as possible.
