2006 SpecV with CD ERROR 1

What does this mean? When I play a CD, it randomly gives me this error and stops playing. If I forward to the next song, sometimes it plays again. Happens with CDs with crappy and good appearance and store bought and homemade CDs too. This began after not using the car for 9 days. Dirty optics?.... Help please. Ed

Have you ever used a CD cleaner? I use a CD cleaner most of the times like once a month. I just pop my Cd cleaner and let it play while I am washing the car or just watching Tv.

Not sure what CD Error 1 is, but my Sentra's stock stereo went out after 6 or so years of use. Try checking the manual or the FSM (not sure if it'll have details on audio equipment, but it's worth a shot) for info on what exactly the error is.

Dirty optics is the most likely culprit, if I were to guess.
