Believe it or not, but the glass on my sunroof flew off and shattered while driving on the highway going about 72 MPH against the wind. I took a look at the sunroof afterwards and it looked like the seal was bad and there was rust residue around the border area. Any idea if I need to replace the whole sunroof assembly or can I just replace the glass part? I just bought the assembly for $50 at a junk yard and I don’t know where to start. Please help and thanks in advance!

The glass has 4 (usually torx) screws holding it to the sliders. If the sliders are intact then you can just replace the pane.

I looked around the pane and can’t get access to the new glass screws due to it being closed. Or am I looking at it wrong?

It has to be closed, they're inaccessible with it open. There are a pair of rubber side covers you need to peel down. See page RF-22 here:

The part I received matches the manual you sent me. The part I have doesn’t which seems a bit odd. Will add pictures momentarily.

Here’s the update…
The sunroof I have isn’t factory/OEM. The previous owner got it installed at the Nissan dealership, but got it installed from a third party called Webasto. Fortunately, there’s a recall for this particular sunroof that I have. The downside is that the part is on back order. So I’m SOL until then.
