Hi all, I was referred to this forum as a great sourec of help...so I am hopeful someone here has had a similar issue to the one I have. Our 2006 Quest has a check engine light, and the code says it is the upstream o2 sensor and to change the #15 fuse...

OK, so I changed the sensor and the fuse, still the same code...OBD reader shows the new sensor is reading (old one was not) but we are still getting the code...any ideas? I am trying to get this light off so i can get the car inspected for the great state of NY...please help!!!

Sometimes just disconnecting the battery for a while and discharging your system will work to clear the code. Otherwise, you'll need the OBDII scanner to clear the code.

Ohh, of course we tried to clear the code with the scanner...but it just comes right back ...brand new o2 sensor that is showing readings so its not bad...thats the issue...if its not the sensor, and the OBD is showing the sensor readings so we know the connectos are good...what else could be the issue?

Its the "change fuse 15" thing that confuses me...we changed the fuse...code still comes back.

OK, Hopefully someone here will have some information...The update is that I made a mistake on which o2 sensor the code noted...I changed the front bank, the code was for the rear bank... OK...so ordered a new o2 sensor in for the rear and whew...it is impossible to get to...does anyone have any idea what has to be removed to be able to squirrel your way in between the engine and the firewall and get this thing out...I dont want to just go pulling parts willy nilly...Looks like at minimum the cat...any help or ideas out there???

Hi there. I am just wondering if you were able to figure this out and find resolution? I am having the same issue. Ugh. Frustrating.

ahh, glad I can help someone for a change!!

yes, turns out it was the rear o2 sensor, what a BIACHe to change...I was able to cut the lead and squirrel a wrench in there to remove it, getting the new one in was harder because of the lead, and getting the lead plugged in in the blind ally behind the engine was even harder...take your time and dont get frustrated...you will have to remove the power steering lines, but they are easy...alift will help (I had access to one so the up and down helped with positioning)

IT CAN BE DONE!! I got a quote for $400 from a nissan service place but I bet it would have been twice that when i drove out...

Good luck with it!
