All..Thanks for your input and opinions..Valid points all..luckily for me, the money is less important then choosing the right car.. By this time next week I'll be in the D.C. area and have lined up an 04, 05 and an 06 sport to drive and that should seal the deal..I know I can find exactly what I want once I decide what it is. Most interested in the differences in the feel of the transmissions and suspensions between those years..I'll post my thoughts (for what little they're worth) after I drive them..Qship, I'll be staying in Ellicott City, not far from you if you're interested in checking them out..

Dont think I can get away during the day to car shop- but would be glad to help you.....JBA Infiniti is in the heart of Ellicott City on Rt 40 and generally has a few used Q in stock, Nationwide Infiniti in Timonium{25 minutes from Ellicott City} usually doesnt stock used Q, but occasionally one pops up.

There has been an independant dealer near washington DC area of Md advertising a low mile 2006Q on http://www.cars.com for a few months-should be ready to deal if they still have it.

Coleman Infiniti in Bethesda or the few northern Virginia Infiniti dealers are all within 45 minutes of Ellicott City

You might come closer to deciding by obtaining and reviewing the Infiniti dealer performed service history.

At the minimum, you must be able to verify the OCI. And a Nissan extended warranty is a must.

qship96 wrote:Major downside to the 06Q compared to the 05Q is the 06 was not available with the premium package, so you dont get the cooled front seats, reclining rear seats, and all the other goodies that came with the premium package- you do get bigger wheels/tires{wonder if that hurt ride quality?} and the questionable rear-steering feature. I think I would go with the 05 premium package over the decontented 06.
according to Forbes auto, the link maxnix posted after you,all the goodies are there ttp://www.forbesautos.com/rev....html???

anyway bottom line is.....I buying another one after I wear uot the 02

There is a reference made to a Premium package, but I think all 66 2006 F50 were Sport only, so maybe no ventilated seats.

The Sport seats are unique to that model.

I am 99% sure I posted the correct information on the differences between the 05 & 06....Forbes also listed adaptive headlights, which I am pretty sure is another mistake- I have a 06 brochure somewhere around here,I may need to start digging in some boxes!!!!

Is that number (66) for sure? I've been told by two infiniti dealers that each dealer got one 2006 Q45..if that's true..there must be a few hundred at least..Of the few I've seen on line, all have been sports.. Also, is the rev matching function of the 06 transmission the result of a software upgrade of the 05 or new chip in the transmission??

A few dealers didn't even want one. I think there are about 173 dealers.

I think the 2005 and 2006 may have the adaptive headlights like JDM models.

I dont think ANY dealers wanted one, as they still had 04 & 05 Q45's backed up on their lots that they couldnt sell

I think Forbes confused the headlight leveling {vertical movement}with adaptive lighting- they are not quite automotve journalists, and at times have made some questionable statements.

Q45er.. Sounds like just what I'm looking for EXCEPT not in black....Silver , desert platinum, Lakeshore slate, or royal pewter...Latte interior...35k or less.. well cared for..prem pkg would be nice but not necessary..I'm in D.C. this week and have checked out a couple Qs today.. No keepers ..As soon as I find the right 05 or 06, I'm buying...Anyone else looking to sell ????

mark..If things check out, I'm about to buy a desert platinum 05, one owner base q with 22k .. It's in Riverside Ca and I'll be buying it blind and having it transported to N.C. One concern you can help me with is the color..I've yet to see a infiniti in that color and wonder if you could post a photo of yours in natural light..It will help me decide between it and a silver one with a premium pkg but with 36k..I've seen a couple of later M's in Serengeti Sand..Is that close to your color ?? If I get the base, I'll be talking wheels next....Thanks

A complete verified service history and a Nissan extended warranty much more important to a long trouble free life than color.

Will do. Desert Platinum looks a good bit different than Serengeti Sand. The DP looks more like a grey and not so much like a gold. The final two cars when I purchased my M was it and a 2006 G35 Sedan 6MT in Serengeti Sand. I drove the two cars over an entire weekend and they would have costed the same out the door. The color of the G was actually one of the biggest reasons I did not buy it. It was the only 2006 the dealer had remaining so there were no other choices. There is a G owner on here with the color as well. It seems to be absurdly rare.Cheers,ML

I have to decide between a couple 05 Q45s.. 1.. Has 34k..one year left on the factory warranty..or 2..26k out of factory warranty but certified..for a couple thousand more bucks.. Once you buy your car, if you want to change your wheels to a set of 20" FX wheels, i have a set for sale.

zer...tires

Price is very negotiable. I sold my 2002 Q45 and these wheels that I had on my car are now for sale.
