I have a 2006 Pathfinder and the TPS light has started flashing. This week I adder air to my tires because it had turned cold and the TPS light had come on. After bringing the tire pressure up to 35 lbs of air in each tire, it was at 31.5, I started the car and the TPS light started flashing, after about one minute it will quit flashing and just stay on steady. The owners manual says there is a TPS malfunction and to take it to the dealer. Has anyone else had this problem and is there an alternative to the dealer? Thanks

Well, I'd check the tire pressure manually again. Then I'd drive it a while. If you still get flashing lights with solid following, then perhaps a sensor has gone bad. Like it needs new batteries perhaps or just to be re-recognized by the vehicle's computer. Most tire shops can assist with these issues, especially if you're buying new tires.
