I wanted to know if a bad O2 sensor will cause your car to occasionally turn off. I have had this problem happen with the car turning while driving to today. I had the codes pulled but the only thing that came back was the O2 sensor on the right bank. If anyone has had a problem with this please let me know. Thanks in Advance!

It's possible that the O2 is the issue if it's causing some sort of short.

I've had code P0430 come on a few times which never caused the car to turn off. What codes did you pull?

I can't remember codes right now... Light goes off when I go get them read sometimes... It went on again today so I'll go try and have the code read and I'll post it up! :bigthumb:

Ok I had the codes pulled again and it came back to be the TPS throttle position sensor. I cannot find any online do you know where you can get one from instead of the stealer ship.

Regarding the TPS, I believe that it's all one unit with the throttle body and dbw unit.
They sell refurbished units at Advance Auto Parts for around $100 after you order online using the "P20" code and then you can go pick it up in person to avoid shipping.

Interesting thing... I had read o thread online somewhere about tps and one of its effects are the car shutting down!! My Check engine light on the G has stayed on this week but I didn't get a chance to get the code read... However, the car had stalled out once again (I'm usually able to quickly turn it back on) so now I think its time to research this some more!!
