I have a 2006 nissan ultima 2.5 SL and a few months ago i noticed a clicking noise when i touched my breaks comming from the gear shifter area then i noticed not to long ago when i accelerate from a stop or turn a cornner it was shifting hard, you can hear it and feel it shift and then few days ago i tried to get my car out of park and the shifter was stuck i had to use the override. The next day all day it was fine and again today ive had to use the override alot then i noticed tonight the clicking continued while i was driving and my gears are not lighting up on the console anymore.. Ive done some research and im thinking a solenoid? Its my first car so being VERY descriptive. I kinda want to know before i pay someone to look at it what the issue might be and how much it would cost to fix it. Thanks!!
