2006 Murano - Light Smoke on Start

Hi!

Just bought a 2006 Murano S, and when it starts, the exhaust emits a puff of smoke for a short time, then it clears up. It is mostly 'white', and not particularly 'oily' smelling.

I live in Vegas, so the ambient temp at start is relatively high.

Any clues?

The chief mechanic / engineer at the dealer says it is condensation evaporating on startup. - Apparently this can even happen in the desert.

Does this sound plausible?

If the problem goes away then you know its not a bad piston ring, valve seal, or head gasket. If it were a continuous problem even after several minutes of driving, then you should worry.
