IIRC, those M45's have a +55 offset. They'd require spacers or something to fit. Without, they'd hit the suspension before you'd be able to bolt them onto the hubs.

Here's a photochop of how they'd look

I thought 05 and 06 wheels were the same but here is the one I though you wanted to see:

"1996 Silver Q45 under 42K miles - Southern California - Stock for the most part - 05 M45 wheels, Stillen Air Induction, 2001 Q45 In Dash CD Player, part of my collection of Silver Datsuns - Curt's Datsun Q" Look for that descritption because posting his picture does'nt work.

Didn't the '06 Q Sport have those same wheels, but in a Q-friendly offset?

Those are easily some of the best looking wheels of all-time, and they look perfect on the G50.

Like most newbs, you are enthralled with the static appearance rather than the operational virtues of the reality of dyanamic function. You need to start with tires first, and work your way back to the correct wheel (strength, weight, offset, hubcentricity) if dyanmic performance gain is your goal. If being just a pretty doorstop is your performance aspiration, then any round anchor will work.

If you do, you will find the swee t spot is 18" or even 17". This part of my post was edited due failure to comply with Rule #3 in our Terms of Conduct. Once you understand OEM load rating specifications, physical wheel well siae limitations, and offset limitations of the multilink front suspension, it will all be very apparent to you.

I would suggest starting with the tire sticky in Infiniti General and some research on http://www.tirerack.com .

In an effort to clear up some things ...

The wheels in the link by Paul Wall are listed as 06 M45's, but they almost have to be from an 03 or 04, which are comparable to the same year Q45 wheels and would be either 18x8 +40 or 18x7.5 +40.

There was no 05 M45

The offsets for 06 and up M35's or45's are too high for use on any Q45 1990 thru 2006.

G35 Coupe wheels can be used, but be careful as the stock G35 Coupe tires load rating isn't up to the Q45's minimum recommendations.

There's lots of OEM Nissan/Infiniti wheels that can fit all years of Q45's, just be careful you use the right tires.

That is correct. It is a 19x8.5 with a 35mm offset if I remember correctly. They are about impossible to find. I looked into it for my 2004 M as it would be a perfect it. The juice is not worth the squeeze to use 06+ M Sport wheels with spacers.ML

Infiniti only brought 150 2006Q45 to USA total.....who knows if they sold all of them yet, or have dozens parked behind dealers or in storage lots? I would buy a leftover new one for $25,000.

I agree. I really liked the 2006 Q45 Sport. I am pretty sure all 2006's were equipped with the Sport Package. The few listings I have seen for 2006 Q's were all asking 30k+. Given the car market, getting an untitled 2006 might be possible.Cheers,ML

By the time one has enough knowledge to properly select wheels and tires for their car they should already have a perfectly operating Q.

not trying to be offensive but on an old Q you have a lot more crap to worry about than spending that kind of money on wheels and tires..

and I hope you are willing to either inspect your girlfriends' Q every week or so because other wise she's not going to like it.. Qs are reliable but you have to keep abreast of issues so they dont actually become issues. Almost every issue on the Q give you ample warning before an issue turns into a failure

Ummm ... there is no such beast as a 2005 M45.

The early M models in the US were 2003 and 2004 with 18x7.5" wheels. These will fit a G50 just fine, since the offset is 35mm. Correct maximum tire size is 245/45-18 for the G50, although a wheel width of 8.0" would have been more optimum.

And, then, there is the 2006+ M with 18x8.0" and the M Sport models with 19x8.5" wheels. These will NOT fit a G50 without spacers, because the offsets are too high (at 47mm and 50mm). You would need 15 to 20mm spacers and these add weight and create balance problems. "Spacers are evil" according to Grant at TireRack and he was correct, IMHO, but the choice is yours!

Please see the stickies in our M forum for the detailed information (see link in my sig) and my early posts in this regard.

I agree Wess but aren't most cars this way need to keep up on things before they get worse? Yes I also agree much more pertinent things I could be doing to the car which will be done..... but wondering about other things I plan to get into, wheels, lowering, etc..... which causes a whole new set of issues Hopefully one of these days I can get a Nico ecu
