Has anyone found a company making performance cams for the 45? I've checked the web and I can't find a thing, whether CompCams/other manufacturers or in general. The issues with the CPS seem to drown out any search result pertaining to the cam itself.

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I do not recall such a conversation...

Jim wolf makes one for the 5.6 but will fit ours. it's not easy and IMO not worth the money for the gains in HP/TQ. Here's a thread for you to readdddddddd about since it is a long preocess with R/D http://www.infinitiscene.com/forum/thre ... -TB-intake

Thanks for that thread. I knew I couldn't have been the first to think of it, but it was probably more prevalent in the first few years after the car came out.

Why sell the '06? Only 124k miles? I'm at 244k and counting :-)

I use to have a prototype CAI for it from Element 114 when they were producing aftermarket products for these cars. The CAI kit plus their mid and axle back exhaust kit actually caused a decrease in power. I removed the CAI and power was restored. Without an Uprev tune, there just arent many benefits to a combination of standard bolt on performance parts for this car. I've been here when guys were trying all sorts of things before an Uprev tune was even in reach here in the states. When it did become available, it would cost almost $1200.00 for a tune. Even then, the parts that one could obtain would have to be a donor from a 5.6 Titan. Headers and shift kits are about all you could get for these. Even now it isn't much different other that the price for an Uprev tune is down to about $450-500 now. Hell, there was an upgraded rotating assembly (less the block and heads) for these cars that added a whole wopping 75HP. Lol...the price for the kit was $1000 per the added HP...yep, the kit from Japan would cost you $75,000.00 plus shipping. Someone was smoking crack.....lol.

Anyways, best to just leave this car alone unless you have deep pockets and patience for little gains. That or buy a vehicle with a huge performance market behind it. The M sedan is not that vehicle, no matter what year it is. Even the M56 has little to no support.

My 07 M35x had ZERO issues (I'm not exaggerating) at 142kmi on the day I traded it on my for M56x. That's why I got top dollar for it.

Either you're unlucky or the person before you abused the car and didn't take care of it. These cars should run 200k EASY.

Owned it since it had 17k miles on it back in 2008. Sorry, but mines a lemon. A bit more research on here will prove there are a lot of people who have had MAJOR issues with these cars. The 4.5l engine in particular. The interiors of my domestic leathered vehicles may not be styled as sophisticated as the M, but it lasts a lot longer without having to routinely maintain with leather products.
This was my last Nissan product I promise.
