Did you unplug or remove any of the wheel sensors? I think I had this issue at one point; had to replace the wheel sensor. Goes directly into the hub and the wire wraps around near the caliper. Maybe it got disconnected.

if you havent already diagnosed your car try going to a near by auto zone and getting it scanned and the codes.
most likely it'll be your camshaft sensor(s) if your lucky.
if not it'll be your crank sensor.
as long as your car isnt stalling you shouldn't be to worried but you deff should fix that asap before raw fuel starts being projected into your cats and then your engine can blow :frown:

i work at a nissan btw and same thing happened to my car.

Yes, you need to run a scan. It just could be that the steering angle sensor needs to be reset.

cam or crank sensors would cause a check engine light wouldnt it?

in my case i had all those lights come on and it was a simple brake switch. there are 100 different reasons for those lights. get a scanner.

Yes thats right it would cause a check engine light but if he gets any sensors whether they are the right or wrong ones fixed and they clear the codes itll have the same prob still and he'll just damage his cats more and if that happens its pretty expensive to fix. so scanner would be step one lol they rest are just probable causes. hopefully its something simple though.

uh - add brake fluid and bleed? Just having low fluid will do this...

Prolly speed sensor, I've replaced a couple.

I know plenty say its your brake fluid is low, or your brake pads are worn or the camshaft sensor is bad. Those are all good, but it does not address the problem since the SES light is not on, which means there is a problem with ABS or VDC system. Try this method it might help you out, since I have the same dilema, especially if you have the Intelligent cruise control system.
Within 5-15 seconds of turning on the car (motor running), press the up on the cruise tab 5 times and then down 5 times, on your cluster you will see a series of numbers pop up on the LCD which states what gear the car is in. Once you have those numbers go to this link http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/M/2006_M45-M35/acs.pdf and scroll down to ACTION TEST section which will explain the error code.
And just to make sure, you can try to clear the code while it's still running by pressing the cancel button 5 times and then the distance button if you have the Intelligent cruise control system. If done correctly a number 55 will blink in the LCD section of the gear selector indicator. Turn off the car and re-start it and go for a drive above 19MPH and the lights will turn off and remain off if there is no fault, if the fault is still present the lights will turn back on until the error is fixed. It's how I figured what my problem is.

Going through this right now too. I just changed my brakes, rotors and springs (and one caliper). I did have to re-bleed that caliper 2 days ago because I was driving around with a real spongy brake. I bled it. The brake got stiffer and then both the VDC and Slip lights went on. I shut the car off and turned it back on and they were gone.

Last night, I was driving and they came on along with the brake light. So when I got home I checked my brake fluid and it was low. I added brake fluid but I still haven't driven it to see if the lights will come on again. I'll update later tonight if they come on or not.
