Although I haven't driven a 2009 M35...
06 M45 Pros:
I like the raw power of the V8, without having to mess with bolt ons.
I like the fact that the navigation is DVD based, rather than hard drive based, in case you pick up a newer-to-you nav disc without having to go to the stealership for updates
I like the orange interior lighting - but it's starting to get a little dated. Some folks hate it.

M45 Cons:
Some have had oil consumption issues, I've been lucky though - no probs for me

09 M35 Pros:
I like the exterior styling of the 2008/09 better, esp the front
I'd rather have a 7-speed transmission, than 5-speed, especially if you do a lot of highway driving
Hard drive Music Box -don't have to mess with CDs, MP3 players, your smartphone, etc.
NO orange interior lighting
More performance aftermarket parts for the VQ35DE engine than the VK - although that means, spending more $$$
Prolly cheaper Elite Infiniti warranty for newer car with fewer miles

Seems like the 09 M35 would be the better way to go...I'd have a hard time trading my M45 in, but would probably do it

The reason I asked is I'm lucky enough to have both.. just didn't know which one to give to my wife.. I ended up giving my wife the m35 and I'm driving the m45.. I will be looking to find a newer m45 2008 or newer with advance technology. . I have owned 3 2006 m45 sports.. I love that car the 7 speed In the m35 is great for saving gas but if you like the ms the way I do.. saving gas isn't even on the list of requirements lol.

that's how I'd play it as well...my wife says my driving makes her nervous :ohno: I like the increased torque and power my M45 gives me.

My wife doesn't know how to drive the m45 she burns way to much gas and not trying to go fast lmao.. The 6 cylinder and 7 speed is good for her.. I like the m45 allot but it would be nice to have the blue guages.. The orange guages are getting a little out dated.. I'll roll around m45 and see if I can find a newer one or an advance tech 2009 or newer
