I don't even know if this will apply to your car , but it's little known info , that if your struts come apart (unscrew at top , w/pistons & oil filled) draining and refilling & using a slightly more viscous oil ( I used a "jack oil" ,which was rated for shock / motorcycle forks etc.) and found the brand that was "thicker" as compared after I dissassembled mine. It really made a difference ,and with a slight overfill (10-20cc's moer) = stiffer handling ,better damping , better than original "factory fill" performance .Cost 4 bottles @ $4 ea. !!!
Of course , labor huge factor , for I did this myself ,I take the chance you know. A regular mechanic may scoff at the success , for it is a kind of gamble with Labor$$$ , or not do it correct and "GETCHA TWICE" installing a 2nd time the several thousands you quoted on parts alone !!
