Hi all,
I have read a lot of threads about lighting on the NICO site, but was wondering if anyone had more detail than what I was reading. Basically, my M45 has suddenly started getting condensation in the drivers side light. I tried calling drheadlight, as mentioned on a thread, but they basically told me "No thanks" because the "M's lights are way to complicated to remove". It appears the bumper needs to come off, but is there any other way to remove this housing? Are there any other known leak points I can check before going as far as dismantling the front end of my car? And even if I get the headlight assembly out, then what? How do I re-seal it?

I guess I am looking for some step by steps and hopefully with pictures. Can anyone help?

I would use a blow dryer or park your M in the sun all day (the hotter the better).

and yes to remove the headlight bumper must come off. :tisk:

Thanks for the reply. I actually did that yesterday. Luckily in SoCal there is never a shortage of sun. I pulled the amber marker bulb out of the top at lunch and within the hour, it as clean and dry. Put the bulb back in, thinking I was set. But when the sun went down it filled up. Today I am gonna do the same, but then goop the top of the light where I can see the seam with silicon II and hope thats where the leak is.

Some times you'll get the condensation from the breathing tube.

So my silicon seal lasted about 2 days. Now its starting to fog again. It looks like my options are to just leave it, or to bake it myself.
