I have had 9 lexus's.I finally saw the light and bought a 2006 M45 Sport!I really like this car,but I wish it had a couple of things the Lexus had.I would like to know if Nissan,Infiniti, makes a limited slip for this car.It really needs one.Has anyone done this to their car?If so how much did it cost?If donr by thr dealer did it void any of the warranty? Was there any problems? It just seems odd that it is not offered or standard on a car with this much power. Thanks for your help and advice.ED

The car should already have limited slip center differential.

Not sure what you are asking for.

Unfortunately after the FGY33, Infiniti became more Lexus-like and dropped the VLSD which had been standard on all Infiniti V8 until then.

Thanks for getting back. Not sure what you mean that they are getting more Lexus like.I have had 9 Lexus's and all had limited slip,it was standard.I have had SC400,s,LS400's and GS 430,'s,all had LS.None of them are the performance car this M45 is,and it doesn''t have LS,not even as an option. For those that think it does go out and do a burnout,it will leave one stripe.I am a convert to Infiniti so don't think I am suggesting that Lexus is the car my M45 is!!!As a note the Jag S type R ,also doesnt have it.I believe the M 45 would be even faster out of the hole with it and wondered if the dealer would install a Nissan or Infiniti LS system.I am not sure if they even make one.I also would like to know, if they did have one and installed it,would it void the warranty?Again thanks for the replies.Ed

None of the Lexus had/have a viscous or mechanical LSD, all are open diffs with traction control [via rear brakes]. We have seen 2 with the Supra mechanical LSD installed by owners. We work/have worked on hundreds - thousands at 3 shops.

First off, PLEASE DON"T SHOUT! Thank you.

Now that your Caps Lock key is off, be aware that all Q45 since 1997 have had traction control (defeatable), and optional on the earlier G50.

So as long as it is actvated, the TCS will brake any wheel that spins, but that does not transfer the power as efficiently as a LSD. Rather, the unused power is converted to heat.
