This is an FYI because I couldn't find any posts about the idler pulley in the forum. Apologies if this is a duplicate.
Found plenty of info about replacing the serpentine belt tensioner pulley bearing, but nothing about the idler pulley. That's the one that went bad on my 2006 M45 on Sunday after a 750 mile drive. I damaged the pulley trying to remove the bearing, only realizing after that there are TWO bearings back to back in the idler pulley. Pounding on the rear one did nothing to dislodge the front. Auto parts stores list the tensioner pulley but not the idler pulley. Original Infiniti part number is 119274P101, but it has been superceded by a different part number that may have a different inside diameter so they want you to also buy the bolt, washer, nut, etc. The local dealer wanted $120 for it and couldn't get it until tomorrow. I found a website that lists interchange info for 119274P101, including Duralast 231150 and Dayco 89150FN. O'Reilly's lists their Gates 36336 as an interchange for those. Autozone is the closest to me and I had a gift card so I headed there and checked the Duralast 231150 for fit on the bolt and bracket. Looked good so I took it home and put it on. Works like a champ and the car is much quieter. I haven't checked the other interchange parts but they probably would work as well.
