My brother recently gave our mom his m35. she is 72 and is totally overwhelmed by this car. I have a 03 toyota camry that only has 130k miles on it and am thinking of trading her the camry for the m35. My only issue is with the 100k more miles on the m35 vs the toyota. Just curious what you all think? I know my brother and he has taken well care of the m35.
thanks
Jeff

What does your mom think of the trade?
While asking, what does your brother think of it?

To me the trade is a no brainer other then the high mileage on the m35. My mom gets in the car and takes one look at all the gadgets and gizmos and says I hate this car. I will need to ask my brother but I think he will be ok with the trade as long as mom gets a good reliable car. Is there anything I should be concerned about with the m35 having so many miles?
Tks

I think your mum at her age would be more comfy in the toyota. It's smaller, more manageable, and less 'gizmos' to make her nervy.
As for the M35, regardless of how meticulous the maintenance was, after 230k miles, major things will need to be replaced (water pump, radiator, air con, suspension, steering parts, etc). Long as you're ok with that, I'd say do the trade.

As of right now my mom loves the looks of the m35 over the camry and is letting that sway her decision. I have tried to tell her she needs to feel comfortable and at ease with what ever car she decides to drive. Go figure that with the m35 the service engine light has come on along with the abs, slip, and lcr lights has come on. without checking codes I have to guess it would possibly be a speed sensor of some sort.
thanks
