2006 M35x: any way to turn off "please say a command" voice prompt???

This woman is very irritating. I found a way to lower the volume of her voice but is there any way to just turn it off so that when you press the voice recognition button it goes straight to the tone?

Why does Infiniti think that people want to hear this prompt every single time they hit that button, if they want people to use the voice recognition feature? Is this not common sense?

No way to turn it off. I guess they are using the "Please say..." to set you up for the tone.

I just got an 07 X and had the same question. I'd love to be able to do it like Star Trek and say "Computer..." while discretely pressing the voice button on the wheel and then giving a command. Would be very cool as yes, I'm a geek But with the intermediate voice prompt, it ruins the illusion.
