It all started with my Key Phobe not working and I had to use manual key. I changed battery in the Key phobe and now my car just don't want to start but only does so at unexpected times. Then If I wait a few minutes after trying to start and put key into the phobe holder it starts. Also my windows will not row up automatically be will roll down without holding switch. My radio also went back to factory presets. Please Help!! Hopeful its something simple.

Welcome to NICO!

I'm assuming the battery you speak of is in the keyfob. All of this points to the car battery being bad. Your radio going back to factory presets and your windows losing auto feature really screams car battery.

I would also consider testing a second key fob if you have one.

The car battery and keyfob battery have both been replaced.

Sounds also like there is a loose connection somewhere. Possibly a bad relay as well.

You'll have to reset your windows after a battery change. Typically with Nissans all you have to do is roll the window all the way down and hold the button for two seconds after the window is fully down, and do the same for the window rolling up (hold the button down for a couple seconds at the top). You may have to do this twice each. Then they should work.

If this stuff continually resets on you, then something is loose for sure, which is interrupting the connection with the battery. I would double check your connections and make sure your battery terminals aren't corroded/dirty. Possible the battery is also defective, or that whoever replaced it possibly fudged something.

I agree that this points very strongly to a car battery problem or a loose power connection - may be even the replacement car battery is not working properly.

I''d disconnect the battery terminals, clean out the inside of the terminals with a wire scraper (designed for cleaning car battery terminals) and re-attach tightly.

Hopefully, this will fix the problem.
