2006 m35 transmission flush

hey guys, for those that have done a transmission flush how many quarts did it hold and did you use matic-s?? Thanks much for your time and also did you fill from the dipstick??

if you drain from the transmission pan plug and from the returning hose by the radiator, you will probably need 6-7 quarts. you will fill through the dipstick by the passenger side firewall.

thanks for the reply, did you use matic-s?? or did you use an aftermarket?? I dont usually like to use aftermarket transmission fluid, but i am up for ideas.

i used the stock OEM fluid. i think it's J or S - whatever superceed the other. The only fluid i used aftermarket is for the differential, which i did for the front and rear over last weekend. For that i used Redline 75W 90 GL5 fluid. I've used Redline product on my Audi TT for years and I don't have any issue so i'm using it again on the Infiniti. i used the Matic D fluid for the transfer case.

this is more like a drain and fill type of thing so it's not really a flush. if you want to flush your transmission, you need to go to the dealer.
